He must have had them polished or  chromed. Like they are they are the spitting image of Torq-Thust IIs which might not be the image that he wanted.

He is very proud of his 15 year old saw model Mercedes.

Also this kind of person is the reason I don’t like Mercedes which is silly because there’s just as much brand/image  worship of BMW.

I suspect that’s right.  I don’t recall these being offered polished or chromed when new, at least not from the factory.  Dealers have been known to do that, too.
